Thrombopoietin (TPO) Neutralizing Antibody, Mouse Monoclonal [MA211N-100 or MA211N-025] 

Nplate (Romiplostim) is a thrombopoietin receptor (TPO-R) agonist marketed by Amgen for the treatment of thrombocytopenia (Reference 1, see below). It has been approved for the treatment of both adult and pediatric patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), a condition that occurs when the blood platelet count is too low. Nplate (Romiplostim) is a recombinant human IgG Fc fusion protein produced in E. coli (2).

GenHunter has 3 neutralizing monoclonal antibodies against Nplate (Romiplostim): Clone 5D5-G2, Clone 2A3-B6, & 5E7-F8. We also offer a Thrombopoietin (TPO) neutralizing monoclonal antibody, a TPO fusion protein, & Ba/F3 (c-Mpl) cells (see below). The Nplate NAbs have specificity against TPO-R Mimetic Peptide (Nplate). Nplate is a fusion protein analog of thrombopoietin (TPO), a hormone that regulates platelet production.

Nplate (Romiplostim) Neutralizing Antibody Determination: Nplate neutralizing antibody assay for the three mAbs was carried out with Ba/F3 (c-Mpl) cell bioassay method in which Ba/F3 (c-Mpl) cells were grown in the presence of Nplate with or without the mAbs. EC50 (see data in specifications tab below) was determined at the concentration where a mAb caused 50% inhibition of the cell proliferation.
